1. GENERAL RULES

1.1. These rules apply to all participants in “Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon”, from IndividuALL Running Series.

1.2. The organiser of the event is “Runners Club” Sports Club Association.

1.3. The races of “Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Marathon” are open to all those who wish to join, as long as they respect the conditions required by the organiser.

1.4. Registrations open in February 15th. Registration of the participants can be made online, at https://virtual.runnersclub.ro, as it follows:

Registrations can be made only online, on https://virtual.runnersclub.ro as follows:

  • First step required is to register on the platform https://virtual.runnersclub.ro
  • After creating the account, you need to log in to the platform
  • In the control panel, access the Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon event and click on the Register button.
  • Select the desired event from those available in the list
  • Choose the payment method: online or offline
  • If you choose to pay online, you will be directed to a payment processor. After payment, you will receive a registration confirmation email from office@runnersclub.ro and a payment confirmation email from the payment processor.
  • If you select the offline payment option, you must enter the required bank details into the application. The confirmation of the registration will take place within 2-3 working days, after receiving the payment confirmation from our bank.

 

1.5. By filling in the online Registration form, the participants acknowledge and assumes full responsability that:

– they accept and understand the terms and conditions of participation at “ Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon – IndividuALL Running Series” as well as the race rules;

– they had red and agreed with the Data Protection Policy, regarding personal data processing by “Runners Club” Sports Club Association, and agree that their image or other public information such as results and time tables can be used in promotional items (posters, flyers, movies, online visuals, interviews) free of charge and uncensored.

– the data provided are real and they are clinically healthy and phisically able to attend the event, under the conditions of Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon’s Rules of Competition.

1.6. The organiser reserves the right to refuse the registration and the participation at the races, to any participant, based on objective reasons.

1.7. The competition takes place between April 10th, 0:00 – April 18th, 23.59, GMT+2 time zone (Romania time).

1.8. Registration are validated by paying the participation fee. Online payment can be made until April 14th 2021. Offline payment can be made until April 12th 2021. After this, all the registrations that are not validated, will be cancelled.

1.9. The competition route will be chosen by each participant.

  1. DECLARATION OF CONSENT

2.1. The attending of each participant in Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon  – IndividuALL Running Series takes place under it’s own consent, in full awareness of the ability to participate in the event, of the physical and mental state, as well as and of the state of alert required by the authorities of the country where the participant will run.

2.2. Participants in Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon – IndividualALL Running Series must be at least 16 years old on April the 10th, 2021. Registration of participants aged between 16 and 18 is done by filling in and sending the registration form by parents or guardians of the underaged child, as specified in points 2.13, 2.14 and 2.15 of the Rules.

2.3. By filling in and sending the online Registration form, the participant acknowledges and assumes full responsability that the data provided are real.

2.4. If the online Registration form is filled in and send by another person that the participant, the person who takes these actions assumes full responsability that the data provided are real, and has the participant’s consent to be signed up for the event.

2.5. By filling in and sending the online Registration form, the participant acknowledges and assumes full responsability that it’s clinically healthy, and doesn’t suffer of any medical condition that prevents him/her attending the event, or that can endanger its’s health while attending the event, and also assumes full responsability regarding his/her participation in Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon  – IndividuALL Running Series.

2.6. By filling in and sending the online Registration form, and by accepting the Rules of the Competition, the participant acknowledges that he/she fully understood the meaning of attending such an event, which route includes/may include road traffic.

2.7. By filling in and sending the online Registration form and by accepting the Rules of the Competition, the participant at the event assumes full responsability to be in the right shape for attending at an endurance event, such as Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Virtual Marathon  – IndividuALL Running Series, so that the organizers, as well as anybody related to them (sponsors, partners, employees, authorities, officials, volunteers, etc) are exempt from any responsibility related to any claims of the participants and their successors, of any nature, for possible accidents, illness, death or any other medical problems that might arise during the competition.

2.8. By filling in and sending the online Registration form and by accepting the Rules of the Competition, the participant at the event declares on their own responsibility that in case such an event as the ones described above might arise, the participant shall bear all costs related to the transport to a specialized medical unit and declares to waive any claim related to such a transportation and/or emergency medical treatment, delays or deficiencies related to those.

2.9. If the registration form is filled in and sent by another person that the participant at the event, it is presumed that the participant at the event has agreed to be signed up and acknowledges to fulfill all the participation requirements outlined in the present section and the present Rules of the Competition.

2.10. Each participant is responsible for their own security and safety. The organizers, the partners, the sponsors, the volunteers and the staff participating at the organization of the event are not liable for any type of injury, death or damage that may arise during the event or as a consequence of the unfolding of the event.

2.11. It is recommended that the participants at the event hold an insurance policy, valid for sport competitions.

2.12. The participants are required to listen to and to respect the directions/instructions of the organizer and those of the competition staff.

2.13. Regarding the participation of underaged children in the event, by filling in and sending the registration form the parents or the legal tutors of the underaged child declare on their own responsibility that they agree that their underaged child attends the competition.

2.14. The parents or the guardians of the underaged child registered at the competition declare on their own responsibility to be informed about the risks involved by the participation of the underaged child at the event and take full responsibility in case of an accident that may arise during the event. The organizers, as well as anybody related to them (sponsors, partners, employees, authorities, officials, volunteers etc) are exempt from any responsibility related to any claims of the participants and their successors, of any nature, for possible accidents, illness, death or any other medical problems that might arise during the competition.

2.15. The parents or the legal tutors of the underaged child registered at the competition declare on their own responsibility that the information provided in the registration form is real, that the minor child they represent is medically fit to attend the race he or she was registered for; that they acknowledge the legal implications for the participation of the minor child they represent at the event and that they take full responsibility, in case their child/the minor they represent is involved in an accident.

  1. PARTICIPATION FEE

3.1 Participation fee: it is 79 lei, regardless of the event, and it can be paid online or by bank transfer.

3.2 For multiple registrations, the fee is:

2 races: 129 lei (29 lei discount)

3 races: 179 lei (58 lei discount)

4 races: 229 lei (87 lei discount)

Aditionally to the participation fee, if the participant wishes to receive the medal by courier service, he/she will have to pay the delievery fee, which is 15 lei for Romania, and 10 euros for other countries.

3.3. Tax refund: The tax is refundable until April 12th, 2021 (minus 20 lei). After this date, the tax is no longer refundable. Also, the fee is not refundable if the participant has registered at least one run during the event.

3.4. Transfer to another person: Transfer to another person is not accepted.

3.5. Transfer between races: Transfer between the races can be made until the beginning of the event, April 10th, 2021.

3.6. In case of not attending the event, due to any reason, the participation fee will not be refunded.

3.7. In case of cancellation of the races due to an act of God or for reasons beyond         organizer’ s will, the participation fee will not be refunded.

3.8. Online registrations close on April 14th.

  1. RACE KIT

Includes:

  • Race number: downloadable from the application
  • Access to rankings and reports
  • Automatic data import from Strava or Garmin
  • Finisher’s diploma: downloadable from the application.
  • Medal: it will be received only if the paticipant covers the distance of the race he registered for.

The medals will be delievered within at most one month from the event. In Cluj-Napoca, Brașov and Bucharest, the medals will be picked up from SportGuru stores. In other cities from Romania, the medals will be delievered by courier service, for a fee of 15 lei. For international delivery, the fee is 10 euros.

 

  1. CATEGORIES AND RESULTS

5.1. The races of the event are:

Marathon Wizz Air – 42.2 km

Halfmarathon – 21.1 km

Cross – 10 km

Cross – 5 km

5.2. Ranking will be made for all races.

 

  1. RACE PROCEDURES

6.1. BIB number

Attaching the BIB number to your shirt is not mandatory.

6.2. The start

The start will be taken at any time between April 10th, 0:00 – April 18th, 23.59, GMT+2 time zone (Romania time), as log as the deadline for sending the activity data, April 18th, 23.59, is met.

6.3. Data import

Automatically, before the start of the race, by connecting STRAVA, GARMIN or MapMyRun account

  1. Log in to your account on the platform https://virtual.runnersclub.ro
  2. Click on the profile icon (at the top, on the right)
  3. A menu will open, you will find the Settings tab, which you have to click
  4. In the new window that opens, click the Connected Apps tab
  5. Check the Strava, Garmin or MapMyRun box, and follow the instructions
  6. Activity data will be imported within approximately an hour.

Manually

  1. Log in to your account on the platform https://virtual.runnersclub.ro
  2. Click on the Activity tab (at the top, on the right)
  3. A screen named Provide details for your activity, divided into multiple fields will open. You will have to enter manually the following data: Title (you can enter the name of the race), Activity Date & Start Time, Distance (km), Activity Duration, Activity Link:

Regarding privacy controls, your activity has got to be public, otherwise the application can’t import the data. Only the activities performed after registration for the event are taken into consideration.

Your activity has to be performed and saved in one session, without pause and resume. Don’t forget to stop and save the running session when you reach the distance of your race. More running sessions are allowed during the time of the event, between April 10th, 0:00 – April 18th, 23.59, and each one of them must be exported separately on the platform https://virtual.runnersclub.ro. The distances cannot be cumulated.

The compatible applications include Strava, Garmin, Runkeeper, MapMyRun, TomTom Sports, Fitbit or Apple. If you are using any other mobile application or device which can export data to your Strava account, you don’t have to import data manually.

6.4. Disqualify

The event organizer can reject any run that has suspicious GPS data (unrealistic high pace, such as pace below 3 min/km at any time during the run, etc.)

The organizer has the right to make the decision to disqualify a participant, in case of a suspicion that they have used any external help in covering the distance (such as using a vehicle), or that they cheated in any other way.

 

  1. Prizes

7.1. The following prizes will be offered:

 

7.2. The prizes will be offered by random drawing, from all the participants that covered the distance they registered for. The random drawing will take place April 23rd, and the winners will be announced on Runners Club Facebook page and website.

 

  1. COMPLAINTS RECLAMATIONS

8.1. Any complaints or reclamations related to results or the race will be written and handed out to the competition committee within 24 hours from the official closing of the event.

  1. OTHER DECISIONS RELATED TO THE RACE.

9.1. The organiser can cancell or stop the event if it can’t take place safely.

9.2. Any decision will be taken by the race committee or by the race director.

9.3. The organiser reserves the right to bring changes to the information published on the website, to the rules or the schedule, etc. These changes will be announced at least 7 days before the event, in the case of information published on the event website.

9.4.  I agree that Runners Club is entitled to collect and use my personal information (name, surname, e-mail) on Romanian territory, directly or through its representatives and /or contractual partners in order to participate at promotional and informational campaigns ran by Runners Club, aiming to promote events organised or co-organised by Runners Club.
